Q. Where is the online test conducted?
The online test will be conducted on the scholarship platform itself (https://scholarships.theietevents.com/#). You need to login with your registered email address and password to access the exam module.
Q. I am not able to book a slot for my online test?
Please do NOT attempt to book the test slot now. The test booking window will open for 3 days – 26th June to 28th June. Please go to https://scholarships.theietevents.com/# to login and book your time slot.
Q. Will I get an email just before the test slot booking?
You will receive a follow-up email on June 24th reminding you to book your timeslot. We strongly suggest that you book your test slot as soon as you can, within this time window.
Q. What happens after I book my slot?
You will get a confirmation email to your registered email id containing the date and time of your exam booking. In case you have booked your slot but not received an email confirmation, write to [email protected]
Q. What are the dates for the online test?
The online test will run from 3rdJuly to 5thJuly.
Q. My credentials do not match. What can I do?
You should use the same email address and the password that you received in your registered email address at the time of application submission. Remember the password is of 8 characters with a special character at the end. Please do NOT attempt to reset your password.

Q. What kind of questions will I get, what is the syllabus, how do I prepare for the online test?
There is no reference question bank, model question paper or pre-defined syllabus - the complexity / difficulty level of the questions will largely correspond to the semester you are currently studying in.
Q. How long with the exam last?
The duration of the exam is for 70 minutes with an additional 2 minutes (at the start of the exam) for a quick introduction to IET and familiarizing yourself with the test instructions.
Q. Are there any special requirements for the Online test?
You only need a stable internet connection, and we suggest you use a laptop or a PC for the test (not a mobile phone / tablet). The online test needs to be completed in one sitting. We highly recommend you find a location that allows you to fully concentrate on the test, where you will not be disturbed for the duration of the test.
Q. Am I required to pay any charges for the online test?
No, you are not required to make any payments for the Online test.
Q. What happens after the online test?
You will be notified from IET India via email about the results of your test.
Q. Are there any fees/charges to apply or take part in the Online Test?
IET India does not charge any fees for applying to the IET India Scholarship Awards or for participating in the Online Test.
Q. Do I get any advantage in my application as a student member of the IET?
If you are a student member of the IET, you get a 15% additional weightage boost in your application.
