The IET India Scholarship Award is designed to inspire and recognise the brightest upcoming engineering graduates in India. With a total prize worth ₹10 lakhs, this is the country’s most prestigious scholarship award for undergraduate engineers. Now in its 8th edition, applications will soon be open!
In the previous edition, we received a phenomenal response from engineering students across the country. Will you be the next winner? Stay tuned for more details!
From thousands of participants, we select just one exceptional winner as the National Champion, who is awarded a ₹3,00,000 scholarship. Last year’s winner, Dilushi Herath, impressed the jury with her innovative solution to enhance healthcare through a Remote Medical Procedures (RMP) framework. Her approach focused on strengthening network and storage security to ensure safer and more efficient remote healthcare services.
Students are evaluated and shortlisted based on a number of criteria, such as their academic performance and participation in extracurricular activities.
A rigorous online exam is conducted to test their technical knowledge of core engineering subjects.
Students who score above the minimum required marks are then invited to the regional rounds where they get to innovate and present their unique technological solution to a pertinent societal challenge that impacts their region.
Regional winners finally battle it out in the national finals to win the IET India Scholarship Award. The winner gets to participate in a series of IET-organised activities centred around sharing knowledge, encouraging new ideas and innovative collaboration with expert engineers and technologists
